Letter to Senate Environment & Public Works Committee on WRDA 2026

On behalf of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) and our nearly 500 member companies, I write to thank you for introducing the bipartisan Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2026. Aggregates—including crushed stone, sand and gravel—are the foundational materials used to construct and maintain locks and dams, navigation channels, levees, coastal resilience projects, water control structures and other critical infrastructure authorized through WRDA legislation. These essential materials help ensure projects can be built efficiently, safely and durably, while supporting economic growth and community resilience nationwide.
