Letter to Congress on The Creating Confidence in Clean Water Permitting Act, H.R. 7023
On behalf of the over 400 Members of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), we write in support of H.R. 7023, the Creating Confidence in Clean Water Permitting Act, ahead of its expected consideration on the House floor. This bill, which is comprised of the text of five standalone bills previously introduced by Members of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, namely the Nationwide Permitting Improvement Act, Reducing Permitting Uncertainty Act, Water Quality Criteria Development and Transparency Act, Judicial Review Timeline Clarity Act, and Confidence in Clean Water Permits Act, represent significant steps toward streamlining regulatory procedures and providing greater certainty for businesses in our sector.
