Coalition Letter to House Leadership Urging Preservation of FY2026 Surface Transportation Funding in House CR
Federal surface transportation investment benefits every American daily. The undersigned organizations recognize the importance of Congress acting promptly to avoid a lapse in federal funding and maintain continuity for federal transportation programs and projects. At the same time, any short-term government funding measure should preserve the total FY 2026 enacted funding levels, regardless of previous funding source, for these critical programs. This would allow long-overdue transportation improvements to continue without interruption, while work on FY 2027 appropriations and a multi-year surface transportation reauthorization continues.
