Anyone involved in the aggregates industry must attend the Legislative & Policy Forum + Hill Day on Sept. 16-19 in Washington, D.C. Once again, NSSGA is teaming up with NRMCA and NAPA to have a joint Hill Day on Sept. 18. If you can’t attend the entire meeting, consider attending just the Hill Day portion of the event so we can have a large, strong voice with lawmakers.

If you’ve never participated in the LPF or done a hill meeting, don’t be intimidated by going up to Capitol Hill – NSSGA’s team of government relations professionals will walk you through the whole process ahead of time. Each meeting will also have a team leader, usually our state executives, who will help navigate the ins and outs, including talking through the policy issues, sharing our Hill handouts and one-pagers, and leading the group to the office. We encourage every NSSGA member to attend the LPF and Hill Day portion.

During LPF, attendees can network and meet with other aggregates industry professionals, learn more about the industry and attend open committee meetings. Whether or not you’re on a committee, you can attend and learn about developments in different areas, such as Communications, Environment, Engineering & Technical and Membership. Additionally, everyone is invited to the NSSGA Board of Directors and Membership Meeting. Your involvement in the association is crucial. This is your chance to engage with NSSGA leadership, learn about ongoing initiatives and provide your input.
