NSSGA Statement on Passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
ALEXANDRIA, VA - The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s Interim CEO Michele Stanley issued the following statement on the House passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. NSSGA sent a letter to House leadership supporting the bill before the vote.
“We thank House members for their swift passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. It includes many aggregates provisions to strengthen the industry and the American economy. Specifically, it includes bonus depreciation, the Research and Development Tax Credit, small business deductions, keeps the corporate tax rate at the status quo and protects percentage depletion and estate taxes. Additionally, associations' tax-protected status remains intact. We also appreciate the inclusion of the user fees for electronic vehicle registration, which will help to raise revenues for the Highway Trust Fund. Though this will not completely address the shortfall in funding, it is a positive step forward and ensures that all road users pay into our infrastructure system. Today’s passage is an important step toward providing certainty for the aggregates industry and making necessary investments that will create jobs and grow our economy. We now urge Senators to take up the bill for a swift passage.”
