NSSGA Promotes Chuck Fuqua as Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications
ALEXANDRIA, VA. – National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) President & CEO Michele Stanley today announced the promotion of Chuck Fuqua to be senior vice president of strategic communications, effective immediately. Fuqua has been with the association for eight years and has developed a Communications team that is recognized as an industry leader.
“Chuck is a respected and experienced communicator, whose leadership has elevated NSSGA’s voice across Washington and throughout the aggregates industry,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michele Stanley. “Over the past eight years, Chuck has built a strong communications team, strengthened our strategic messaging and become a trusted advisor to our staff, members and industry partners.”
In his elevated role, Fuqua will oversee NSSGA’s public affairs strategy during a pivotal time for the aggregates industry, as lawmakers prepare to work on the next surface transportation reauthorization bill. He will also lead the association’s internal communications efforts, as NSSGA implements its new three-year strategic plan.

Fuqua provides a wealth of experience, having worked for three trade associations over 18 years. Prior to entering the trade association space, Fuqua served as deputy public affairs director for the Secretary of Commerce, and assistant superintendent of the House Press Gallery. He is also a veteran of four Republican National Conventions, where he led the media operations office.
Fuqua is originally from Georgia and is a graduate of West Georgia University. He currently lives in Alexandria with his wife and two children.
