NSSGA Kicks Off 2026 Legislative & Policy Forum in Washington, D.C.
The 2026 Legislative & Policy Forum is being held Sept. 20-23 at the Capitol Hill Hyatt
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) convenes its annual Legislative & Policy Forum (LPF) today in Washington, D.C., bringing more than 300 aggregates industry leaders together to advocate for infrastructure priorities before Congress. Over the next three days, NSSGA members will meet with lawmakers and share how the aggregates industry supports America’s roads, bridges and public works projects.
This year’s forum will feature advocacy meetings, the NSSGA Awards of Excellence presentations, networking receptions and select committee meetings. Events will also include Young Leaders networking, an aggregates 5K Run on the National Mall, the “Meet Your Representatives” Hill Day Reception and the ROCKPAC Chairman’s Dinner.
“Our Legislative & Policy Forum gives our members a direct opportunity to show lawmakers how aggregates are essential to every major infrastructure project in the country,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michele Stanley. “As Congress considers permitting reform, workforce needs and the next surface transportation reauthorization, NSSGA is focused on advancing policies that help build stronger communities and a more reliable infrastructure network.”
During Hill Day on Sept. 22, members of the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) will join NSSGA to advocate for construction materials industry priorities. Participants will urge lawmakers to support fair access to materials research; advance permitting reforms; promote workforce development; and pass a strong, five-year surface transportation reauthorization bill.
NSSGA will also present several individual honors, including the Rock Star Awards, which are given annually to members of Congress who have gone “above and beyond” in championing the aggregates industry’s policy interests on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies.
