House T&I Chairman Graves and Ranking Member Larsen were recognized during NSSGA’s Legislative & Policy Forum.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) today announced House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) and Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA) as the 2026 ROCK Star Award winners during the association’s Legislative & Policy Forum (LPF).

“NSSGA is proud to recognize Chairman Graves and Ranking Member Larsen with the 2026 ROCK Star Award for their principled leadership and bipartisan commitment to advancing infrastructure policy,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michele Stanley. “Through their work on the BUILD America 250 Act, and the efforts of their staffs, they have continued to champion critical policies that help the aggregates industry work to supply the materials needed to build and maintain America’s roads, bridges and highways.”

Under the leadership of Chairman Graves and Ranking Member Larsen, the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee drafted and advanced the bipartisan, BUILD America 250 Act. This $580 billion, five-year surface transportation reauthorization bill will deliver the long-term highway and bridge funding that the aggregates industry depends on. They steered the bill through a 62-2 committee vote by prioritizing: core highway formula programs, road and bridge investment, as well as project-delivery reforms. Their consistent partnership on multi-year infrastructure bills gives producers the funding certainty needed to plan, permit and supply the materials that rebuild America’s roads.
