DESTIN, FL – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) concluded its 2026 Young Leaders Annual Meeting in Destin, FL. The meeting held April 12-15, attracted more than 380 participants from across the country. The agenda included two general sessions, several breakouts, fun networking opportunities and community service activities.

“The Young Leaders Annual Meeting showcases how important young professionals are to the aggregates industry,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michele Stanley. “These men and women in attendance are the future and we value their engagement. This event creates a dynamic meeting environment to stimulate their passion for the industry.”

During the first general session, attendees heard from keynote speakers Wally Adamchick, FireStarter Speaking and Consulting who spoke on “We Never Did It That Way;” Mark Helm, Dolese Bros. Co.; Leland Meiser, Dolese Bros. Co.; NSSGA President & CEO Michele Stanley and Manufacturers & Services Division Immediate Past Chair Craig Lamarque, Wirtgen America. Tuesday’s general session featured keynotes from Ronnie Pruitt, Vulcan Materials Company and retired USMC officer, Dave Berke who shared his unique perspective on combat leadership and creating winning teams. Multiple breakout sessions were also offered on topics such as professional development and technology adaption in the workplace.

New this year was the BuildHer Lunch & Learn, which connected women in the aggregates industry. The featured speaker was NSSGA President & CEO Michele Stanley, who shared her own experiences and leadership journey.

Meeting attendees also participated in dine-arounds across the city and community service projects, including a beach cleanup. The Mark S. Walsh Annual Leadership Award, sponsored by Rock Products, was presented to Clay Albright, Rogers Group, Inc. - Caldwell Stone Quarry.

On the last evening of the meeting, outgoing Chair Chad Weems, Martin Marietta, passed the gavel to Ryan Morales, Gulf Coast Sand. It was also announced that the 2027 NSSGA Young Leaders Annual Meeting will be held April 25-28, 2027, in Hilton Head, SC.
