The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) helped support and facilitate industry participation during the Version 2.0 update to the Product Category Rule (PCR) for Construction Aggregates, which was administrated by NSF International as the program operator. Effective late-2025 NSSGA has assumed the role of program operator going forward. By assuming this role, NSSGA will be facilitating the future development, updating and administration duties related to the Construction Aggregates PCR and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) developed under the PCR. NSSGA is uniquely positioned to coordinate PCR activities through collaborative efforts involving the aggregates industry, our downstream product users, agency stakeholders and academia/experts in life-cycle sciences. NSSGA takes pride in the role aggregates play in local communities and economies, and believes that encouraging EPD development can be an effective strategy in measuring and reducing the industry’s environmental impact.
