Letter to Senate Leadership on the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2027

On behalf of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) and our nearly 500 member companies, we urge the Senate to promptly pass the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2027. The extension of surface transportation authorizations included within this measure would sustain critical infrastructure investments and keep construction projects moving by continuing current authorization levels through December 11, 2026. NSSGA members produce the crushed stone, sand and gravel that form the literal foundation of America’s roads, bridges, airports and public works.

Transportation Construction Coalition Letter on Federal Gas Tax Suspension

The Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC), comprised of 34 trade organizations and labor unions, expresses strong opposition to proposals under discussion to suspend the federal gas tax. Such plans would have limited, if any, impact on consumer prices, and risk driving up costs on projects designed to improve every community across the country. The federal gas tax is the foundation of the Highway Trust Fund (HTF), which supports the nation's transportation improvements.
