ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s President and CEO Michael W. Johnson issued the following statement applauding Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) and the 25 Senators who are urging support of State DOTs in the next relief package.

“NSSGA applauds Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) and his team for spearheading the bipartisan Dear Colleague letter, which advocates for federal relief for the State Departments of Transportation (DOT) agencies in the next COVID-19 pandemic package. We greatly appreciate the Senator recognizing the vital role State DOTs play in growing our nation’s economy during this time. Federal relief is imperative for vital construction projects to continue and to preserve construction jobs. NSSGA will continue to advocate for these critical funds with Congressional leadership and the White House as a future pandemic package takes shape in the coming weeks.”
