On behalf of the over 500 member companies of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), we write to express our strong support for H.R. 26, the Protecting American Energy Production Act. As the leading advocate for the aggregates industry, NSSGA represents producers of essential materials—including industrial sand, a key component in hydraulic fracturing—that is foundational to America’s energy and infrastructure sectors. This legislation is a critical step toward ensuring the continued responsible development of our nation’s energy resources.

On behalf of the 400 National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) members, I am writing to share our strong support for H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act. NSSGA urges each member of Congress to support this needed act, which will unleash the potential of American energy and roll back permitting challenges, therefore allowing the aggregates industry to continue supplying essential building materials to American communities. H.R. 1 takes significant strides to fix a broken permitting reform process that currently makes the task of sourcing aggregates severely difficult.

The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) represents crushed stone, sand, gravel (aggregate) and industrial sand producers, consisting of approximately 9,500 operations nationwide, and the manufacturing and service providers who serve the industry. Our producer members operate both surface and subsurface mining operations across all fifty states. Aggregate producers are directly impacted by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and are essential to meet our country’s energy goals.
