Kyle Ressler Receives 2021 Barry K. Wendt Memorial Scholarship

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Kyle Ressler, a rising senior at the University of Kentucky, has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Barry K. Wendt Memorial Scholarship. Awarded by a panel of NSSGA member judges, the scholarship is given annually to a student pursuing a mining-related degree and plans to make a career in the aggregates industry.

NSSGA Commends DOL on Exclusion of Aggregates in COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Michele Stanley issued the following statement as the U.S. Department of Labor released its long awaited Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) which targets healthcare and does not cover other workplaces under the jurisdiction of OSHA or MSHA.

 

ROCKS Act Included in Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act of 2021

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Michele Stanley issued the following statement after the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee successfully approved, by a vote of 20-0, their bipartisan Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act of 2021 which included S. 1672, the ROCKS Act.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Michele Stanley issued the following statement after Chairman Carper (DE) and Ranking Member Capito (WV), introduced the bipartisan Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act of 2021. The bill will next head to mark-up by the full Committee this week as the other Senate Committees with jurisdiction continue to craft their infrastructure titles.
