Tell Congress It’s Time to Build

The sixth annual National Infrastructure Week is a time for events, media coverage, education and issue advocacy to elevate infrastructure as a critical issue impacting America’s economy, society, security and future. The week, May 14-21, is the perfect time for the aggregates industry to ask Congress to fund improvements to our surface transportation network, ports, airports, waterways and more.

It’s easy to participate, no matter if you’re in Washington, Ga., Washington, Maine, Washington, Utah, or Washington, D.C.

Write to Congress

Failure to properly fund the Highway Trust Fund has left our nation’s infrastructure in a state of decay. America needs Congress to act now to create reliable, robust and routine funding that offers certainty about fixing our roads and bridges. Infrastructure For America is a new website that allows you to send emails to your members of Congress. Just click Act Now.

Share Events and Social Media Graphics

Also, the Infrastructure Week website makes it easy to advocate for aggregates from anywhere. Visit for graphics you can share on social media.

Show the Value of Quarries

Quarries create good paying jobs and materials to build local infrastructure and communities. Use NSSGA’s graphics to highlight facts about the industry during Infrastructure Week. Make sure you add #TimeToBuild when you post these on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
