Joe Carnahan, general manager at Luck Companies, will live the “suite life” during NSSGA’s Legislative & Policy Forum/Fall Board Meeting, Sept. 24-28, in Washington, D.C.
Carnahan, a member of the Young Leaders Steering Committee, was drawn at random for an upgrade to a suite at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill for his stay at NSSGA’s new event that combines professional development, industry meetings and advocacy in our nation’s capital. The Suite Life contest was open to registered attendees who reserved a room in the NSSGA room block for the event.
“This was a nice surprise,” he said. “There’s a lot to be excited for at this forum, between meeting with the Young Leaders to plan our Annual Meeting in La Jolla and meeting with members of Congress at all the different events.”
There is still time to register for the Legislative & Policy Forum. All attendees will be able to meet face-to-face with their elected officials so that lawmakers understand the value of aggregates operations in their district. Quarries are job creators, as one job in an aggregates operation supports nearly five jobs in other industries.
Attendees can also take advantage of unique breakout sessions for professional development in sales, community relations, production or safety and health. Register for the 2017 Legislative & Policy Forum/Fall Board Meeting today.
