Hundreds of people from aggregates operations across the country gathered in Washington, D.C., this week during this year’s Legislative & Policy Forum. NSSGA members had a record 295 Congressional meetings during Hill Day and furthered relationships with a number of key lawmakers. While these meetings were taking place, NSSGA ran ads on the homepage of TheHill.com, which resulted in 1.9 million impressions and directed website visitors to our advocacy materials outlining the policy priorities we shared with members of Congress.
Things were quite active on social media in support of the fly-in. NSSGA added more than 50 new followers during the event and saw increased engagement across each platform. In total, 20 organic posts generated nearly 23,000 impressions and nearly 1,500 engagements. Several Congressmen tweeted about their visits with NSSGA members and constituents or retweeted NSSGA’s posts and photos. NSSGA thanked each member of Congress who posted for their time and commitment to infrastructure investment and regulatory issues.
