NSSGA Launches Contest to Name Seat Belt Safety Initiative

You could win $5,000!

NSSGA President & CEO Michael W. Johnson announced at last week’s Annual Convention the launch of a contest to name a seat belt safety initiative NSSGA will be promoting. “Wearing a seat belt is a simple step in worker safety, but there must be universal commitment to doing this in all our facilities for the well-being of our employees,” said Johnson. “So, we will launch a campaign to educate and remind employees at our member facilities to always wear their seat belt before driving any equipment on the job.”

To kick it off, NSSGA is holding a contest to accept slogan ideas from our members. NSSGA is asking for submissions to name the campaign be sent to seatbeltsafety@nssga.org. Participants must work for an NSSGA member company and can submit more than one entry.  Entries will be judged blindly by staff. The winning campaign slogan will be chosen and announced this spring. The total prize for the winning slogan will be $5,000.

NSSGA takes worker safety very seriously, as exhibited by our recently renewed Alliance with the Mining Safety & Health Administration (MSHA).  Once the campaign slogan is chosen, it will be incorporated into graphic elements and distributed to our member facilities after spring thaw.
