Start the day and be will be treated to a private tour of Lucas Oil Stadium, home of Super Bowl XLVI in 2012. The stadium boasts a state-of-the-art retractable roof, 63,000 seats, two dual-level club lounges, 137 suites, retractable sideline seating, large video boards, spacious concourses, exhibit halls, and meeting rooms. Truly a multi-purpose venue.
A sports mecca with something for everyone, we’ll cruise by Victory Field, one of the best minor league ballparks in the country, and Banker’s Life Fieldhouse, home to NBA’s Indiana Pacers and WNBA’s Indiana Fever. Another notable venue that pays homage to sports is the NCAA Hall of Champions. All exhibits interactively engage and create a true-to-life understanding of just what it takes to make the grade. Get a taste of what it’s like to be a student-athlete, without the 5 a.m. workouts.
Of course, a trip to Indiana would not be complete without a stop to the largest raceway in the world, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! While at the track, enjoy a docent-led tour of the IMS Hall of Fame Museum collections. Finish up the day with lunch at The Rathskeller, a local restaurant in the city that’s been called, “one of the most exciting food cities in America” by Zagat.
