NSSGA is pleased to invite our members to attend NSSGA’s Environment Subcommittee Meeting in Washington, D.C., at the Hyatt Regency on Sept. 14. The meeting will be led by Chair Joel Nickel of Lafarge Holcim/Aggregates Industries and cover topics such as water quality and litigation, air quality task force updates and recent member interactions with the Environmental Protection Agency and state regulatory agencies.
The meeting will also feature a presentation on Caterpillar’s award-winning sustainability program and the renewal of a partnership between NSSGA and the Wildlife Habitat Council.
Register for the meeting, which is part of the second annual Safety and Environment Committee Meetings and Advocacy Fly-In, and let NSSGA help you build a relationship with your member of Congress.
Attendees will have the chance to meetings with their elected officials and larger congressional committees on Sept. 13 during the Advocacy Fly-In. This is a great chance to talk about the value aggregates operations have to the people in their districts and the nation as a whole. These meetings also serve as great ways to build relationships with members of Congress and educate them about the effects of legislation and regulations that pose threats to the industry.
