NSSGA urges bipartisan legislation with a coalition of associations
Joining with 100 other business and industry leaders, NSSGA sent a letter to Capitol Hill today urging Congress to pass bipartisan infrastructure legislation. NSSGA together with the coalition known as the Infrastructure Working Group emphasized the need for a substantial and long-term plan from the 115th Congress to address shortages in key federal funding such as the Highway Trust Fund.
“With other priorities out of the way, we hope that Congress will commit to meeting our country’s infrastructure needs in 2018,” said Laura O’Neill-Kaumo, NSSGA senior vice president of government and regulatory affairs. “A comprehensive infrastructure investment package will expand our economy, grow jobs and help fund much-needed repairs and improvements to our crumbling roads, highways and bridges.”
NSSGA will continue working with Congress to advance infrastructure investment in 2018.
