Perhaps Hilary Clinton or Donald Trump could succeed where President Obama and Congress have failed in recent years. Both presidential candidates want to spend billions on transportation infrastructure to create jobs and spur economic growth.
“It is good to see that these two candidates can agree on one thing. There is no doubt that improving roads, bridges and highways allows for more efficient and effective commerce and more jobs for hard-working Americans,” said Michael W. Johnson, NSSGA president and CEO. “America is doing well when the aggregates industry is doing well, and that’s because we’re building up our infrastructure and our economy.”
“The effects of infrastructure projects are myriad,” said Yahoo Finance Editor-in-Chief Andy Serwer. “Not only are you actually fixing the airports and the roads and the bridges, but then you’re creating jobs and stimulating the economy.” Check out Serwer’s Yahoo Finance video and story.
