2020 Environmental Leadership Award Presented to Ryan Crosbie, CRH

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) today announced the recipient of the 2020 Environmental Leadership Award as Ryan Crosbie, director of Environmental Legal Compliance at CRH Americas Law Group.  The announcement was made during the virtual Town Hall at the Legislative & Policy Forum.

Crosbie has served on NSSGA’s Environmental Subcommittee and other NSSGA Committees for several years. Crosbie’s issue expertise and understanding of EPA’s newly implemented stormwater permitting was crucial to NSSGA providing comments to EPA.  His engagement and input proved invaluable to NSSGA member understanding and efficacy.

“Ryan is a great example of how important members’ specialized knowledge are to effective advocacy,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michael Johnson. “I am thrilled to honor him with this award, as his contributions have greatly impacted not just our industry but in effect the entire country as his work to improve the permit for stormwater will be reflected across every state.”

Crosbie has worked for CRH/Pike industries for 12 years and has extensive experience in permitting and environmental compliance. He has an M.S. in Geology from University of Nevada-Reno and is a professional geologist in New York and New Hampshire.
