2018 Federal Spending Levels Released

After weeks of bipartisan negotiations, the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill was released tonight to fund the federal government for the remainder of fiscal year 2018. It must clear both chambers of Congress before the March 23, deadline to keep the government operating.

Further analysis of the 2,200 page document will be necessary, however, spending levels for transportation-related infrastructure could increase to $10 billion over the previous fiscal year – a significant increase in spending while, the bill remains silent on spending increases at some agencies such as the EPA.
