MSHA ANNOUNCES SAM PEARCE TO HEAD SOUTHEAST DISTRICT

Last week, the U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration announced that Sam Pearce, previously the southeast district’s assistant district manager to Mike Davis, will succeed Davis in the wake of Davis’ departure for the district manager position in the south central district.  Pearce, experienced in aggregates, has been with the agency since 2001.

The announcement came in the run-up to the southeast district’s annual safety and health conference.  The gathering is slated for Monday, Nov. 4 through Thursday, Nov. 7, in Birmingham, Ala.  Check brochure here for details and registration options: https://www.southeastmineconf.org/.

Among the speakers will be MSHA Administrator Joe Main, and nationally renowned performance consultant, Kevin Elko. Elko has consulted with and presented to such companies as Travelers Insurance and Smith Kline Beecham, as well as the Crimson Tide of Alabama football team.
