Managing the work of others and accepting responsibility for the work of a group within a company requires supervisory skills that come from a combination of basic management principles and the knowledge gained through experience. This program helps aggregate plant managers, plant supervisors and management personnel build the skills necessary to excel as supervisors. Expert trainers with years of mining experience will cover:

  • Responsibilities in health and safety
  • Addressing accidents and incidents
  • Communication skills
  • Conflict resolution and management
  • Short-term and strategic planning
  • Time and stress management

Who should attend?

The Basic Supervisory Training Program is ideal for management personnel with less than five years of experience, or other employees who are transitioning to a supervisory position. Attendees will be eligible for 12 hours of continuing education credits (CEUs).

Basic Supervisory Training is co-located with the 2018 AGG1 Academy & Expo and NSSGA Annual Convention.
