Segway Adventure through Garden of the Gods
Monday, June 12, 2017, 2-5 p.m.
Meet 15 minutes prior at the West Building’s Porte Cochere
During the 2012 NSSGA Board of Directors Meeting at The Broadmoor, we offered one Segway tour and ended up with three tours due to the popular response. Now NSSGA is back at The Broadmoor and we again offer you a Segway tour, this time through the awe-inspiring area attraction of the Garden of the Gods – where millennia-old rock formations stretch high toward the blue Colorado sky.
Contrary to how they look, riding a Segway is not a balance-challenging feat; they are truly easy to navigate and you feel secure in slightly leaning forward to go forward along the paths. They are battery-powered and have less environmental impact than a golf cart, so riding a Segway is not only fun, it’s green, too! This tour is ideal for beginner/intermediate Segway riders, open to adults and children who are at least 14 years of age, and is popular with couples or for those who enjoy a mild adventure and fresh air.
Minimum number of attendees: Minimum five.
Attire: Layered comfortable clothing with comfortable walking shoes (no sandals, high heels or flip flops) and sunglasses. You will be given a helmet to wear.
Event fee: $155 (Adult or child) early bird rate through May 15. $180 standard rate begins May 16. $205 onsite rate begins June 10. Includes a guide, Segway instruction, helmet, applicable taxes and gratuities.
Registration deadline: Please register for this tour and all activities by May 15.
