Following recent clarifications on the underground Diesel Particulate Matter issue, an underground DPM workshop has been created. The inaugural workshop will be held at the Rogers Group Inc. Jefferson County Mine in Louisville, Ky. on September 8, 9 and 10. Day One will be spent learning and discussing the regulations and testing protocols. Day two will be spent underground establishing baselines and testing individual miners. Day three will consist of an overview of the prior two day's work and a written test.

WHAT THIS WORKSHOP COVERS:

  • DPM Sampling
  • Basic Sampling Principles
  • Data Interpretation
  • Record-keeping
  • Control Methods
  • *Each participant will spend a day at the quarry monitoring employees for DPM exposure. A competency test will be given on the third day of the workshop.
